farewell MAXIM?

Maxim Philippines is reportedly closing shop. This piece of news is really saddening but business is business. If it’s not making money for ABS-CBN Publishing, it’s better to just end the men’s magazine’s operations.
Despite its all-out effort to compete for a few of years, Maxim wasn’t able to increase subscribers and readership. A few notable celebrities who graced the cover of Maxim include Angel Locsin, Angelica Panganiban, Krista Ranillo, Katrina Halili, Princess Ryan, Nina Jose, Mariel Rodriguez, RR Enriquez, Cass Ponti, Cristine Reyes, and many more.
Before we all bid adieu to Maxim Philippines, let’s take a look at some of the magazine’s cover girls

Well, FHM and Playboy’s still around.

This what happens when magazines like this keep on publishing photo-edited, CGI looking pictures of the women. High contrast, super saturated, too much filtered pics, and edited the contour shapes of the models, and one can't see the rel skin anymore. Just compare any of the person/model's real pics on the internet and the ones in magazines like Maxim and FHM, you can clearly see how heavily edited it was, not seemingly real anymore.
